Fall in love with Costa Rica while enjoying Casa Lirica, our family home in gated Palm Beach Estates next to Playa Grande. This home is filled with art and comfort. We met dancing tango in San Francisco and have danced in many countries. We have brought our love of travel, music, and dance with us to our home here in the Guanacaste Province. Our home is built for large families or groups of friends w/ large private indoor & outdoor spaces. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

The Colonial designed home offers a relaxed and sophisticated stay. We have recently added a water softener system to our plumbing. This improves the taste of the water and is gentler on the dishes and your skin and hair. Out the back gate, a short walk through a “green zone” with howler monkeys overhead, leads to 3+ miles of golden sand beach to the right and to the left, across the estuary, the town of Tamarindo.

Playa Grande, located within Las Baulas Marine National Park, the nesting site for leatherback turtles, offers world-class surfing, boogie boarding, walking, or just sun soaking. Hammocks in the backyard offer respite from the day’s explorations or the afternoon heat.

The saltwater filtration pool is just a dunk away. The saltwater system is less harsh on your eyes, skin, and swim wear. A covered terrace with ceiling fans offers sun protection for reading, visiting, and dining. Our backyard lawn allows for hours of play. All bedrooms and indoor common areas have A/C. From booking, our house manager will answer your questions as you plan the details of your vacation with recommendations for adventures, meals, or details on transit from the airport. A rental car can be delivered to the house the morning after your arrival. We don’t recommend driving the roads at night. Upon arrival, the property manager will meet you and provide an orientation to the house.
