Love this place and the owners We stopped by Tamarindo Art Gallery twice. The first time we did not notice the note on the front door that we should ring the bell if the door is locked. We thought the art looked so interesting from looking in the window that we came back and read the door - rang the bell. The owners live next door and came over. So give that a try if it is closed. We loved meeting the owners, Sergio and Mariela (Not sure I spelled Mariela correctly). They are talented, personable and proud business owners. We purchased 2 paintings that are amazing. They will do commissions. If we were staying longer, we would have had them make us something specific but we will be back the next time we are in town. They carefully wrapped our work to protect it during travel. When we got it home and unwrapped my husband and I were impressed with the measures taken to ensure that things traveled well. The items we purchased are canvas paintings that are a little modern in nature but they have many options in different styles. If you are in or near the Tamarindo area, I would suggest stopping by. We will be back and honestly, we will go out of our way to purchase items from this talented couple.
