CATA was born in a dusty agave field when two friends dreamed of sipping Tequila, Mezcal & other agave spirits on the beach. Many months and hundreds of agave tastings (or CATA’s, as we call them) later, we opened our bar, right on the beach in beautiful Tamarindo, Costa Rica!

Now we spend our time hunting for the best mezcal, tequila, and agave distillates worldwide and bring them here to paradise for you to try.

You can book a mezcal or tequila tasting with one of our agave experts, book a cocktail class, or just come hang out and enjoy the beautiful view with a cocktail.
